you don't want to know how long i spent trying to IK this (for the animation). in the end, i found a rather elegant solution with no IK needed. hurrah! hurrah! the can goes marching to it's doom. hurrah! hurrah! the microwave comes, it always does; power at the max for "just because"; and they'll all burst into flames.
